A new one for you Emmy Lou. This is excellent for breakfast. 12 oz. apricot nectar 3/4 cup chopped dried apricots 3/4 cup raisins 1 egg, well beaten 1/2 cup sugar 1 tablespoon melted butter 2 cups sifted flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup milk 1/2 cup slivered almonds Grease and flour one 9x5 inch loaf pan. Mix nectar and fruits in a pan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool. Mix together the dry ingredients, and add the milk alternately with the cooled fruit mixture. Stir well; add nuts. Bake for 1 hour at 350F.
