I posted an article recently that referred to Arthur's Tavern in the West Village. It has been pointed out to me that not everyone is familiar with the name. The West Village is a name used to refer to part of Manhattan, which in turn is one of the five boroughs of New York City. The area runs from the Hudson River, which is the west boundary of Manhattan, to approximately Broadway, and from Houston Street (pronounced house-ton!) to 14th Street. The West Village is the western part of the larger area called Greenwich Village.
