Salting food without tasting it first is indicative of one of two things: 1) A boorish clod with no sensitivity for the feelings of the cook. (This person is likely also to order a bottle of Ketsup in a fancy restaurant.) or 2) A pathological condition ( craving for salt ) that should be looked into by a physician. One of my uncles was of the first type, that was until his sister-in- law (mother) and another brother (father) unmercifully salted his plate before serving it to him on time. Sure 'nuf, he sat down, salted his food and then took the first bite. Without a word, he drained his water glass regularly and ate his meal. He did at least taste the food first (for a while ) after that. Gregory G. Woodbury BTL PY 2K-332 x7287 (...!npois!eiss!ggw)
