I'm looking for a version of a plain terminal window manager that will work on a Sun-3. The sources I have for `wm' wanted to see a fixed curses library; apparently as of SunOS 3.3 it still isn't `fixed' to their liking (i.e., patches [that were not present in my sources] were supposed to be applied; presumably these patches never made it to official Berkeley `curses' and thus didn't make it to Sun's) so it wouldn't compile. I used a different version of <curses.h> and it compiled but croaked with SIGSEGV. Then I tried Maryland Windows but found it was just a library without any actual window manager program to use the library calls (sorry, don't have time to write one!). Finally, I've heard of `screen' but a quick perusal of seismo and uunet's archives didn't bring up anything (unless it's buried in those sources named by date, like `0401.1' or whatever - not terribly mnemonic!). If anyone can point me to a version of `wm' that works with vanilla SunOS, or `screen', or an even newer and more wonderful version of same, I'd appreciate it. Anonymous FTP capability preferred.
