Onions in Hot Sauce
Ingredients
1 large Bermuda onion
3 Tbl olive oil
3 Tbl red wine vinegar
3 Tbl Tabasco sauce
1/4 tsp salt
Method
Peel the onion and slice it very thin. Cover with boiling
water, drain, and rinse with cold water. Mix the oil,
vinegar, Tabasco, and salt in a bowl, add the onion slices,
and marinate for 3 hours at room temperature. This dish is
not as spicy as might be expected.
