[comp.sources.wanted] Looking for digitized images

rynes@mandrill.UUCP (09/07/87)

Does anyone out there have any digitized images they could E-mail
to me? I have just started playing around with Image Processing and
I only have two images to play with. Any format is acceptable as long
as you tell me what format it is in. (Please discribe the format. Telling
me it's in IFF format doesn't mean anything unless I can find a manual
on IFF files) If you're not sure if I'll be interested in your images,
send them anyway.

   Send any responses to: rynes@mandrill.CWRU.Edu.

If you have any trouble finding mandrill.CWRU.Edu in your UUCP maps,
it's because it's not in there yet. We just changed our name (from
cwruecmp) two weeks ago and the new maps haven't come out yet. (We
talk to cbosgd, decvax, and sun)

					Thanx Much,

Hmm? Well, here at the University of New Mexico, we have about 30-40
digitized images. They are in raw format 512x480x8.

Something you might consider getting is the XVision package that a
group here has developed. I am not involved with this project so
I can't give you details, but I do know, because I have used it,
that this package is a great aid for someone doing image processing.
You can extract parts of an image, you can insert an image into (onto)
another image, you can do fft's and other image processing things
including many different dithering algorithms. For more information
 e-mail to xvision@hc.dspo.gov.

Now, back to the images. There is no way I can e-mail you these
images because of there size and the number of images we have. If you
like, you can send me a tape with a self addressed stamped envelope
and I will send you the images.
