[comp.sources.wanted] block no. to filename mappper wanted

pgf@mtung.UUCP (10/02/87)

Does anyone have a utility, which, given a logical block number on
a filesystem, will scan through the inodes and tell you at least
which inode it belongs to? That can then be translated to filename
fairly easily. Someone told me they thought version 6 (or was it 5?
too far back for me... :-) had such a utility, but it doesn't seem
	to be around anymore...

In addition, does anyone in UNIX-pc-land have a sure fire formula for
converting from the /usr/adm/unix.log "HDERR" format to filesystem
	logical block number?
