Does anyone have a version of ve (visiual empire) for old empire that will work with sys5 on a 3b2? Thanks... -- John Knutson {ihnp4,allegra,ut-sally}!ut-ngp!auscso!johnk Spies report that sea mines actually ARE an Iranian delicacy. The Pentagon however maintains that they are some sort of fast food. Communicating, like in the good ol' days.

I have a version of ve that I have been working on for a long time. It has many enhancements over the original ve. Unfortunately, those enhancements have made it very large so it probably won't run without virtual memory. Enhancements include processing of more types of reports (contracts, routes, weather, ship, etc.) and more modes (mov, nav, fleet). I have been looking at adding tactical displays for nuke targetting/destruction analysis and fortress placement and I have several shell scripts that I use for starvation/plague/delivery/etc. analysis which I am considering adding for speed. However, there is a problem with this where you are concerned. It was developed on a VAX running 4.2 so porting may be a problem.
