           ELEPHANT STEW

                  1 elephant, medium sized
                  2 rabbits(optional)
                  salt and pepper to taste

Cut the elephant into bite sized pieces. This
will take about 2 months. Add enough brown gravy
to cover. Cook over an open fire for about
4 weeks at 465 degrees. This will serve about 3800
people. If more are expected, 2 rabbits may be
added, but do this only in an emergency as some people
do not like to find a hare in their stew.

I once saw a *real* recipe for stuffed camel in an old cookbook of Arabian(?)
recipes. You stuffed the camel with four sheep. The sheep were stuffed with
geese, the geese were stuffed with hens, the hens were stuffed with eggs, and
the eggs were stuffed with rice. I always remember the first line -- Take one
camel -- (have you ever *seen* an angry camel?) I always thought that this
would be even more fun than the Ukranian eggs!
