[comp.sources.wanted] Seiko RC-1000

john@viper.Lynx.MN.Org (John Stanley) (12/13/87)

Fair-Warning: This is a longshot request.....

I just bought a cute little gadget. It's a digital watch from Seiko.
"So what?" you ask? Well, with the proper software, you can load a
bunch of personal appointments, reminders, phone numbers, etc into
this "watch" (via an RS-232 cable) from another computer. You can
then use this watch plus software as a portable automated reminder
system.

Unfortunaltely, the program that's suppost to come with the watch
isn't there... According to the documentation, you can get the
support program to run on IBM, Apple, or Comodore-64 but the program
is suppost to come with the watch. They don't sell the program
seperately, and after talking with the folks at the place I bought
this from, I suspect I'm not the only person to get an unformatted
disk out of this "as-is" batch instead of the program....

Since, again according to the docs, the program is written in BASIC
on all three systems, what I'm hoping is there's someone else on the
net willing to send me a listed copy of the BASIC program.

At this point, I don't especialy care what system you've got the
software for. I've worked with BASIC on all three systems at one time
or another. If I can get the code for one system, I can port it (or
perhaps rewrite it in C if that looks like an easier course).

Just in case the Seiko RC-1000 is more popular than I think it is,
please respond via mail before sending the program. I'll see
which version / how far away I get responses from and work things from
there.

  Thanks for any assistance....
