We also are looking for a better interface for mail.
We just wasted some money on Q-Office and its mail interface
and are now poking around looking for some other way to do it.
I've heard of Elm but don't know much (if anything) about it and
remember seeing something in comp.sources.unix a while back
Anyway --- HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
