I am in search of pointers to preferably 'free' debugging aids; copying charges might be acceptable if low enough. I would also prefer if the tools were relatively unix-independent; i.e. not bsd or usg specific. The reason is that I work with a rather eclectic group of unix versions - a set of debugging tools which would work across the board would be nice. The environ is primarily C and Unix or Unix-lookalike (xenix, Ultrix, etc). The only tool that is common across all machines is adb; I KNOW real programmers dont use debuggers :-), but I guess I am getting too old to fall into that category any more. Would prefer non-intrusive style debuggers - something that would not have to be coded into modules, though specific debug flags or compile time options would be acceptable. Thanks! -- Larry W.
