[net.cooks] What happened to the Crock Pot Recipes?

This recipe was intended to be done in a slow oven but I've found it works
quite well in a slow-cooker.

Mom's Easy Beef Stew

2lb beef stew meat, cut in 1+1/2" cubes
    carrots, cut up
    onions, large slices or quarters
    celery, cut up
Juice:
    2tsp salt
    1Tbs sugar
    2Tbs Minute tapioca
    1/2c tomato juice

Place chunky stuff in slow cooker or long flat pan (for oven). Make
juice recipe and pour it in too - increase the quantity of juice, if
necessary, by doubling the tomato juice and adding another Tbs of
tapioca. Cover cooker (use aluminum foil for pan, crimp to seal
tightly). Bake (slow cook) 4 hours at roughly 250 degrees. If you need
to cook it longer (e.g. all day while you're at work), do it at a lower
temperature, and be sure to add some extra liquid, a half cup or a
little more of water will usually do it, since more will evaporate over
the longer time.

For those of you who saw half of this in an earlier message, sorry, I
goofed.

Anyway, enjoy it.
