Where can I get the MicroEMACS _executables_ via anonymous ftp or even uucp? I know of several places from which I can get the sources, but I've had trouble compiling with Microsoft C v. 4.0. I'm sure I could fix the problem with a little hacking, but I don't have the MSC manuals. If anyone could help with MSC, here's the problem: MSC seems to link only so many .OBJ's. One solution, I guess, would be to put all those .C files into one great big file and compile then. Then again, with my luck, it'd balk at such a big file after all that. There are other compiler errors, too, but I didn't bother fixing them because I couldn't get the linker to work. For a large number of obj files you need an lrf (loader response file). You can get the executables for emacs39e and zoo v1.50 (NOT the latest) from *IX BBS 518-346-8033. You get validated for file access after filling out the questionare, but I think those files are in the public area, which you can access on the first call. zoo v2.01 will be posted on that system, along with the sources (and xenix binaries if anyone wants them) as soon as I get it from Rahul. -- bill davidsen (wedu@ge-crd.arpa) {uunet | philabs | seismo}!steinmetz!crdos1!davidsen "Stupidity, like virtue, is its own reward" -me
