[comp.sources.wanted] WANTED: A public-domain 'script' program.

ljz@fxgrp.UUCP (Lloyd Zusman) (05/21/88)

Does anyone out there know where I can get a public-domain version
of 'script'? Just in case there is any confusion, I'm referring
to the unix program that starts up a subshell and records all user
interaction in a file.

I'm prepared to write one of my own, but I don't want to re-invent the
wheel if something like that is already available.

I need source code in C that is intended to run under something
unix-like.

Thank you very much in advance.

There was a 'script' program (C source) published in Unix World a year or
so ago that did what you are describing. It was in the "Wizard's Grabbag"
column. I can't tell you exactly when and where it occurred, I just know
it was in there. Maybe someone else might be more specific.

Mark.
