REQUEST: I have a bushel of hard green tomatoes (the frost hit and killed the plants). Some may ripen, but some a quite under-ripe. Does anyone have a good green-tomato recipe or three? Chutney, pie, anything! OFFER: I've been brewing mead for a number of years, with a fair degree of success. If people are interested, I'll type up a set of instructions (I may even be able to find some on tape--I have typed them before). Kevin Karplus

We made some quite good green tomato relish out of the Joy of Cooking. =Spencer
