Greetings. I am interested in finding source code for a spelling program that is similar to Unix' "spell". Especially the algorythms for printing word stems and doing "soundex" searches. Thanks in advance. Mark Costlow texsun!sun!xochitl!cheeks or ucbvax!unmvax!charon!xochitl!cheeks I don' need no steenking disclaimer!

Also if anyone has a PD dictionary (simialr to /usr/lib/words ) I would like to get it as the boneheads that decided what to put on this system (Fortune) decided to omit it. (sigh) A word list similar to /usr/lib/words was posted to comp.os.minix group a while ago. It is available from the minix server, nosc!minix-server. Send one or more email messages, including the following lines: Reply-To: <your e-mail address> send 1813@botter.cs.vu.nl Include "send" lines for 1813 to 1822 and 1824 "@botter.cs.vu.nl", as well as for "279@bsovax.uucp". This will get you the complete MINIX spelling checker and dictionary. I have not played with it myself, so you might want to get article 1813 and read it to find out if this is what you want.
