Hello guys ! This is the first time sending mails here ! I'm searching for an PD or low-cost texteditor running under MS-DOS with features similar to Wordstar. It should have a Database where I can define fields and their lenghts similar to DBase III. Indexing and sorting on any specified filed would be fine. The Mailmerge function should write letters to persons saved in the database selected by any search-criteria. Example: Send letter to all people who's names begin with 'A' to 'C'. Sources would be fine. Sorry for my worst english ! Bye Dirk. 05.08.1988

It also emulates Wordstar... but it does not contain any sort of database. If you already have one of the databases it supports, you can import data really easily; otherwise, you'd just have to write the data in text files by hand and import it that way (which I believe Sprint also does). (In case you weren't aware, Sprint is the new word processor from Borland.) -- /|\ /|\ .. . . . . . . . . . . | |\| |\| .. . . . . . . . . . . |/|\|/|\|/|| _ _ _ _ |_| _ _ |_ -__ _ _ARPA: lupin3@ucscb.ucsc.EDU | |/| |/|L_ (_\( ( (_/ | |(_\_) (_ || )(_)_)UUCP: *!ucbvax!ucscc!ucscb!lupin3 \|/ \|/ larry / hastings _/ BITNET: lupin3@ucscb@ucscc.BITNET MetaWare Inc.
