I am looking for a COMPLETE discussion of termcap attributes - many manual sections do not describe things like status line support, multi line adds (AL), deletes (DL), etc. -- Larry W. Well, things are going relatively well. I have currently used the following sources for info on termcap attributes: 1. The cmptc command posted to net.souces (or perhaps comp.sources.unix) a few years ago - it is the reason for all of this anyways. I am updating it to indicate a whole series of new attributes that were not described at that time. 2. The termcap page from BSD (ultrix). 3. The terminfo page from System V.3 <--- (Unisys/Arete). 4. A first or second edition of Nutshell handbook on writing termcap entries. 5. The GNU Emacs termcaps.info file from 18.51 . I am STILL missing info on a number of attributes. What I HOPE to do is to try to generate a list of terminals and attributes that I cannot find info on and see if I can find some more resources. If you know of other documentation out there that has at least short definitions for LOTS of termcaps attributes (note that many times terminfo has this info as well), please let me know. I am hoping for a penultimate utility here - one that seldom tells me Unknown attribute. A sample of the current unknowns - xterm 6.6b has a MT - I almost wonder if this one is for MOUSE attached; i have yet to see an attribute which indicated that a mouse was available for input. I think that this one also has a sb. Thanks all! -- Larry W.
