I need an implementation of a bitblt function for 4.3BSD Unix. By bitblt I mean fast block copying in memory with the ability to set bitwise Boolean combination rules. I'm pretty sure that the bcopy() function is useful, but it doesn't allow for Boolean combinations of regions, just for a simple overwrite of the destination. Bitblt was popularized through Smalltalk and is available on Symbolics Lisp Machines so I've gotten used to it and would like to use it on Unix as well. -- Mike McDonnell at the U.S. Army Engineer Topographic Laboratories Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5546 ARPA: mike@etl.arpa
