ROLLED OATS FRUIT COOKIES This recipe comes from the "Theatre in the Kitchen" cook-book, which was produced by the Bastion Theatre Company in Victoria, British Columbia. INGREDIENTS 0.5 cup margarine 1 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1.25 cups flour 0.5 teaspoon soda 1 cup rolled oats 0.5 teaspoon vanilla flavouring 0.5 teaspoon almond flavouring 2 tablespoons water 0.25 cup walnuts 0.5 cup raisins METHOD Cream the margarine and sugar, and add one well-beaten egg. Beat well together. Sift the flour and soda together, and add to the previous mixture. Stir in the rolled oats. Add the flavouring and the water. Add the nuts and the raisins. Drop from spoon onto greased cookie-sheet. Bake at 375 (F) for 12 minutes. original recipe by Greta Sherman-Bradley
