There is a simple patch that can be performed using debug on one of the "hidden" Dos files, to make ^U and ^W work in Dos 3.2 as on Unix and Dos 3.1. Does anybody have this patch? I neglected to save a copy, and when reformatting my hard disk I ended up with a "normal" Dos 3.2. Does anybody have this patch? About six months ago I posted the program to do the patch automatically. I'll dig out the are and mail it to you if you want it. What it does is to patch the copy of command.com *in memory*. This allows it to work on versions 2.x, 3.x, and 4.x and keeps from having a patched command.com file. I mistrust anything that touches any of the system files, however innoctuous. -- bill davidsen (wedu@ge-crd.arpa) {uunet | philabs}!steinmetz!crdos1!davidsen "Stupidity, like virtue, is its own reward" -me
