[net.cooks] G. Washingtons Broth

phil (12/06/82)

I'm sorry! I made a wrong assumption that everyone was familiar
with G. Washington's Broth. It is packed for American Home Foods, Inc.
out of Milton, PA. Given that, I assume it is avaliable all over the
US and is not just a west coast product. The full name is G. Washington's
Golden Seasoning and Broth. It comes as a box of 8 packages of broth,
each package .13 oz of Salt, Monosodium Glutamate, ..., Onion Powder,
Okra, Spices, ....
Well, I guess the next question might be "where can I find it?"
I have found it in one place (QFC) so far here in Seattle. I would assume
it would be found with the soups and soup starters in some supermarket.
The dimensions of the box is about 3" by 5" by 1/2".
If you can't find it, you might want to make a similar mixture.
One package is about 1 teaspoon of seasonings. The partial list above
is in the order listed on the package.
Good luck in your hunt for G. Washington's Broth.
