			Frosted Froeliche (Crescents)

Ingredients:

2	sticks	unsalted butter, softened
5	Tbsp.	sugar
2	tsp.	vanilla
1	Tbsp.	water
2	cups	unbleached flour
2	cups	ground almonds or walnuts
		confectioner's sugar

Procedure:

Beat together butter and sugar.  Beat in vanilla and water.

Add flour to butter mixture gradually, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in ground nuts.

Wrap and refrigerate dough from 2 hours to several days.

Using 1/2 Tbsp. portions, roll into oblongs and place on a lightly greased
baking sheet, bending ends to form crescents.

Bake in preheated 350 degree (Fahrenheit) (325 degree for convection ovens)
about 15 minutes or till lightly browned around the bottoms.

Remove from oven and roll in confectioner's sugar for frosted effect.

					Makes approx. 8 dozen
