A while back (I am uncertain how long ago this was) there was a program called calend posted to the net. I am uncertain as to even which newsgroup it went to. I DO know that the author was someone named Bruce Israel. The program uses the file .calrc in your home directory to remind you of specific dates or recurring appointments. I would like to get a copy of the source to calend, if possible. I have looked at a couple of archive listings and cannot seemd to find it. If anyone has a copy of the source, or know where I can find a copy, please let me know. If anyone has the executable for Sun OS 3.5, that would be better than nothing. If I had a good enough memory, I would not need this program... Joseph Carbonaro Motorola SPS Austin, Texas cs.utexas.edu!oakhill!josephc

If you have a CompuServe account, GO TANGENT. In one of the LIBraries of that Forum is source for a calendar-reminder program that will take into account not only each user's personal appointments, but system wide holidays, and personal holidays too. Since I can't quite remember its name just now, you'd have to BROwse for 'CAL'. If there's a clamor for it, I'd be glad to ask the author for permission to repost it here. -- Time is nature's way of Jean-Pierre Radley making sure that everything jpr@dasys1.UUCP doesn't happen all at once.
