	KOULOURAKI	Greek cookies

I got this recipe from my wife who got it from her mother, etc.
Good cookie for dunking in tea or coffee. Personally, I have yet
to put in too much brandy.

	1 cup	unsalted butter
	4	eggs
	1 cup	sugar
	2 tsp	baking powder
	.5 tsp	baking soda
1 oz.	brandy (good starting point)
	1 tsp	vanilla
	.25 tsp	cinnamon
	1 pinch cloves
3 cups	flour (like bread, may need more)
	3 tbsp	sesame seeds
1	egg, beaten to hold sesame seeds

Beat sugar and softened butter until creamy. Add eggs and keep beating.
Add brandy, vanilla, baking powder, baking soda. Gradually add flour
until you can work the dough with your hands without sticking.
Set oven for 350 deg. f. and grease cookie sheets. Pull out enough
dough to form a rope about .5 inch in diameter and 6 inches long.
Bend in half and twist the ends one full twist and place on cookie
sheet. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for about 15 minutes or until light brown. Once you get the
hang of forming the braids, it goes pretty quickly. It would
probably be fun to get the kids involved as a family project. I
don't have any, but the dog likes to watch.
