I'm looking for a simple public domain Mailing List Database for UNIX. It seems that something using Curses and ndbm would be perfect, and easy to write. I'm hoping someone has one they are willing to share with me; it will be used for a non-commercial non-political list. I'd appreciate hearing about available mailing list programs. Over the last 4-5 months, Ray Shwartz's "Doing Business with UNIX" column in UNIX WORLD (tm) has developed a fairly complete mailing address system. All is public domain, and most of the source code has been published in the column (although some stuff must be downloaded from a BBS in California--see column for info.) I've been playing with this--and have some of the stuff keyed in-- and will make it available on request. (I also have the stuff from the BBS.) I can't vouch for the completeness of Shwartz's stuff, but he has (according to the column and the copyright notices attached to the stuff) placed it in the public domain.
