You should see if UniHost by TouchStone Software will run on your host.
If it will then you buy it and a copy of PC-Works for each PC ($$$).
PC-Works knows how to talk to UniHost and the combination of the two
provides a consistent and DOS-like front end to mail and file-transfer.

This tool is not really useful for a unixoid but fine for the MS-DOS
world of people (barf! :-)  ).
