Subject: Conch Does anyone on the East Coast know where to get CONCH MEAT? Many of the fish and seafood stores sell what they call conch meat/scungilli but this is not the genuine article. I have not seen it available since leaving Atlanta where it was (rarely) stocked by one or two stores. It was brought in from Honduras in 5lb boxes (frozen of course). Having spent many years in the Bahamas where conch is the staple diet I am suffering severe withdrawal symptoms from this marvel- lous crustacean. If anyone can tell me where to find this stuff I will happily post some recipes for dishes made with it - such as Conch Salad, Cracked Conch, Conch Chowder, Scorched Conch, Conchburgers, etc. Russell Cairns
