OK, what I'm looking for, is a 'quick and dirty' ld, to replace 'asld' under MINIX (Yes, I know I need an assembler). I want to start using .o files instead of .s files. In terms of the a.out.h structure, I'm not too bothered by incompatibilites, because the loader will probably need work anyway. What I *don't* want, is something like GNUld, which is 100K (approximately) of source, and every bell and whistle known to man. I just want a starting point. Something I can make into a good loader. The main issue, really, is the handling of libraries. Relocation I can do. Knowing what to do with a plethora of .a files is a different story. Any and all help is encouraged, solicited and appreciated. Thanks. - Der -- dtynan@sultra.UUCP (Dermot Tynan @ Tynan Computers) {mips, pyramid}!sultra!dtynan --- God invented alcohol to keep the Irish from taking over the planet ---
