I am looking for the source for an ascii to binary conversion utility called "atob" and its partner "btoa". I think they do something like uuencode but for somereason the person who sent me an enormous file encrypted it with "btoa". I am trying to get this stuff running on a Sun 386i. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Peter Lorraine (lorraine@msc2.tn.cornell.edu)

These are part of the standard compress distribution. This should be available for anonymous ftp from prep.ai.mit.edu as well as many other archive sites. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jim Waters INTERNET: waters@umunhum.stanford.edu USPS: P.O. Unfortunately, prep.ai.mit.edu doesn't have this in its archives, and I don't have the names of any other ftp-archive sites on hand. Can someone either post the source for "atob" and "btoa", or point me to somewhere what definitely has it? Thanks for any help that you can give me... --- Alex {ihnp4,backbones}!ucbvax!qal.berkeley.edu!lauac
