[comp.sources.wanted] [WXYZ]modem source

paquette@cpsc.ucalgary.ca (Trevor Paquette) (12/30/88)

I'll try this again. Does anyone have sources to one of the following that
will work on a Unix system?
      Wmodem/Xmodem/Ymodem/Zmodem

I have kermit but it is deathly slow.. packet size is 90 bytes.. If you
do have it or know of an archive site that does (We do not have an ftp
that can reach outside of our network) have it, PLEASE tell me about it.
      Thanx,
        Trev

You can uucp the xmodem sources (it's broken up into about 4 shars)
from rpp386 in Dallas, TX

The L.sys line (or Systems for HoneyDanBer) is

rpp386 Any ACU 2400 12142506272 in:--in:--in: uucp

First, fetch the archive

uucp rpp386!/usr/archive/mkdir/mkdir.shar.Z ~uucp

where ~uucp is your public uucp directory.

Pick up rpp386!~/archive and rpp386!~/snatch. The former is a complete
list of files, the latter a shell script to aid you in retrieving them

Hope this helps!

PS, I am not the owner of rpp386. I have re-posted this based upon the
fact that rpp386 posted these very same instructions recently in
comp.sources.wanted and comp.sources.d with a usa distribution.
