Are there any PD assemblers that run under UNIX (SysV) available anywhere? I need one for a class project. It needs to be able to read Motorola assembler opcodes and pseudo-ops (rules out GNU as). Preferably written in C. I'm aware that the Motorla BBS has a couple of assemblers but one is written in a pascal variant that is more trouble than it's worth to port and the other is Dr. Dobbs assembler written in Modula-2 that runs on PC's. Unfortunatly neither is sufficient for what I have to do. Another piece of software that could help would be a translator from Motorola syntax opcodes and pseudo-ops to UNIX (or GNU) as code. Please E-mail all reponses (and any requests) to me. If there's enough interest I'll post a summary. Thanks BAJ -- Another random extraction from the mental bit stream of... Byron A. Me too| ... that is, I am also interested in a PD 68K assembler. I have seen the Dr. Dobbs assembler, but I need one that produces relocatable object code. I think the GNU assembler (gas) is a bit heavy for my purposes, though.
