A short while ago somebofy posted a short routine to compute the current phase of the moon. I thought that a MOON command would make an amusing addition to our BBS so with a couple extra lines of code to translate the output of 0->7 to an english message I put it in. As I should have expected this tiny command generated lots of interest and the BBS users seem to agree that the 8 phase resolution is just not good enough (for what?). I had a look at the code but do not understand it well enough to change this. Does anyone have a routine that computes the number of days since the last new moon? While we're at it, how about one that calculates tides? -- *=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* Frank I.
