/* Written 1:44 am Jan 27, 1989 by brandt@cup.portal.com in uxe.cso.uiuc.edu:comp.sources.wanted */ /* ---------- "Want PRINT.COM sources or equivalen" ---------- */ Looking for source code for IBM PC DOS print.com or equivalent spooler code. Printer redirect to a file would be the next best thing Thanks in advance, Jim Brandt /* End of text from uxe.cso.uiuc.edu:comp.sources.wanted */ I am also looking for a PRINT.COM replacement - one that will PROPERLY HANDLE BINARY FILES -that is, files that can and do contain all 256 possible 8bit words, which must be sent to the printer INTACT. I have never been able to find such a beast. Note that print.com works in the background; that is what I need. I have written such a thing that runs under Microsoft Windows, but would like a plain one. IBM - please note: Why did you make print.com so brain damaged in the first place? Didn't you ever notice that it mangles binary files? It would be so easy to add a binary option on the command line - at least if you wrote it in a normal manner.
