Here is an outstanding spaghetti sauce recipe. The keys to success are using a lot of wine and replacing the ground beef drippings with olive oil. .5 lb. bacon 2.5 lb. hamburger 2 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped green pepper olive oil 6 garlic cloves 6.5 lb. tomatoes 18 oz. tomato paste 3 c. dry red wine 5 t. oregano 5 t. basil .5 c. parsely 2 t thyme 1 bay leaf salt and pepper to taste Brown the hamburger, pour off the drippings. You may want to keep the bacon drippings in or pour them off too. Add some olive oil. Brown the onion and garlic and then add everything else. Simmer for several hours, until it reaches a consistency you like. This is an easy recipe to improvise with. Thatsa mighty fine spaghetti! Peter Garst HP Labs
