#R:mitccc:-29900:harpo:6800008:000:600 harpo!mmp Feb 13 18:55:00 1983 MOLASSES SUGAR COOKIES (GINGER COOKIES) 3/4 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1/4 c. molasses 1/2 t. ginger 1/2 t. nutmeg 1 t. cinnamon 1/2 t. cloves 1/2 t. salt 2 t. baking soda 2 c. flour Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, beat well. Add molasses, spices, salt, and baking soda. Add flour and mix only until blended. Chill dough several hours. Roll teaspoonsful of dough into 1-inch balls, roll in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. I usually double this recipe because one is never enough! (a double batch makes about 5 or 6 dozen cookies) Michelle Peetz harpo!mmp
