[comp.sources.wanted] "passwd" source wanted

ecu@libcmp.UUCP (Edward C. Unrein) (04/05/89)

We have a client who would like to utilize 11-14 character passwords, but
the standard binary as distributed by SCO, for version 2.3.1 80386 systems
ignores character strings after the 8th character.

If anyone has source to a "passwd", I would appreciate it if you would post
same.

It has already been posted several times and with several updates. You
require a new login and su, in addition to the passwd command.

It is still available from here at patch level 7 by anonymous UUCP. The
relevant files are

/usr/archive/login/login.sh.1.Z
/usr/archive/login/login.sh.2.Z
/usr/archive/login/login.sh.3.Z

A working L.sys is

rpp386 Any ACU 2400 12142506272 in:--in:--in: uucp

Perhaps I should make this a weekly anouncement?
