I'm looking for a report writing tool which can be used under dos. I would prefer a tool which includes source code since we will need custom software to work with special file formats. Don't want to use a full blown database package for report writing. If possible the tool would generate headings and footings, have good data selection capabilities, can invoke sort readily, and has good control over print layouts. If you have worked with Pearl I would also be interested in hearing whether it would be suitable, or in obtaining a copy.
