Before I start hacking away at the ckermit code, does anyone know of any existing modifications that allow ckermit on Unix to be called with an alternate kermrc file? From what I can tell, ckermit will use a .kermrc file if its there or not. What I am wanting to do is tell ckermit to start up and use my .kerm.dial script instead of .kermrc . ckermit is not being started up in command mode, so I cannot do a take from the command line. Also, ckermit is being called by novice users, and so I would prefer to see said users not worry about such things. Currently the pgm that I am calling just clobbers .kermrc and writes in what is desired - not very hospitable. Then when it is done, it deletes it. Again, nasty. Now I can modify the code to copy .kermrc, append the new info to .kermrc, start kermit, and then reset things when all done, but I would prefer to see ckermit do this. -- Larry W.
