hi folks! i have compress 4.0 (the one that came with the BSD distribution and i imagine release on the sources newsgroup sometime ago). well when i try compressing a file (over 140 megabyte large) compress says it can't handle it? actually while i was watching it i noticed the .Z file was LARGER than the original :-)....so are there any things i can do to it in order to make it work for very large sizes (read 100 meg and over?). many thanks in advances for suggestions, techniques, etc.... --shan shan%mcf.uucp@mailgw.cc.umich.edu -- #include <std/disclaimer.h>
