The following makes about 5 to 7 cups: 4 cups rolled oats (don't use quick oats; it ruins it) 1 1/2 cup assorted chopped nuts (filberts, walnuts, almonds, cashews are all good) 1/4 cup sunflower seeds as much of anything else that sounds good as you like 1/4 cup oil 1/4 cup honey 1 Tblsp (apprx) liquid lecithin 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract a little hot water as much raisons as you like Mix up the first group of ingredients in a large bowl. Mix up the second group of ingredients in a sauce pan over very low heat. Put the oil into your measuring cup first so the honey won't stick to it. Do not boil. You just want to combine it nicely. Add the wet goop to the dry mess and combine to make a bigger mess. Spread this on large sheet pans (with edges) and bake at 350 - 375, mixing every 10 minutes for 30 minutes, or, as they say, "until golden brown." Allow to cool and add the raisons. When I make this, I usually make 3 or 4 times as much, and it lasts well.
