I am seeking information regarding any software package which would allow one to keep people from copying software from a hard disk on a Macintosh computer. Tall order, I know, but my "boss" wants me to check into the possibility of one existing. Any information relating to such a program would be appreciated. Please e-mail directly to me. Their phone number is 612/535-7485. Alternately, contact Ron Denler at Zim Computers in Minneapolis (612/560-0336); he is one of the parters in Nemesis Systems. They have a nifty utility called GuardDog (tm) which allows you to do a number of things including preventing a user from copying files from a hard disk, and preventing a user from writing to the hard disk. Version II is currently in the works and includes file and directory level locking. Check it out. It's pretty good. As I remember, version I is share-ware and is available on the net and from CompuServe.
