I'm looking for some assembly source to access (program) the NEC 765 or the INTEL 8272A Floppy Disk Controller. I've got the chip specs. for all the functions, but I'm having some trouble with the application. I don't want to go through a lot of trouble re-inventing the wheel, so I'm checking to see if there is any source code available. Anything, even sample routines, would be greatly appreciated. Manuals -- I think that's the chip they use and they have a source listing of their (copyrighted) BIOS. Another place to check would be to look at the updated floppy driver(s?) in the comp.os.minix archives (this is probably in C). Thos Sumner (thos@cca.ucsf.edu) BITNET: thos@ucsfcca (The I.G.)
