Ok, I give up. I have seen requests time and again for the World Data Bank and I don't think I have ever seen a response to these questions. Well, now its time for me to ask it. Having retrieved the netmap program from U Michigan I am at a loss as to where I can find the files that this (potentially) wonderful program uses. The docs mention that the WDB is 130Mb of COBOL records but this program uses a compressed version of these files which only takes up 15Mb. Well, I think I can find the 15Mb but where are the map files? Are they ftp'able from somewhere (I hope) or do you have to get them on tape (Oh, well). I'd love to get my hands on these things. Please mail directly to me info or interest in the same. If I have enough info and requests I'll post a summary (otherwise you'll get it directly from me).
