[comp.sources.wanted] recent make for nethack

yeababy@cbnewse.ATT.COM (james.e.clukey) (08/12/89)

Hi again,
I recently posted to this newsgroup requesting the source for nethack.
Thanx to all who responded, there were(to my surprise) wuite a few respones.
Now to the meat of the problem. I am trying to build the source on
a UTS amdahl running UNIX SYSV Release 5.2.6b and a DEC VAX 8650 also running
UNIX Release 2.0.4. I am having a few problems when I am running the source
make. Everything compiles well on the VAX with only a few warnings of variables
set but not used on the uts; after everything has compiled and you get the
Loading . . . message I get the error message:
ld *command line* : can't find library libtermlib.a
    Error code 1.
stop

I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction
as to alleviate this problem so I can continue with the build process of nh.
Thanx again to everyone sending me email responses concerning my earlier req-
uest.

Since you're using System V, just remove the "-ltermlib" from the Makefile.
(Leave the "-lcurses".) System V uses terminfo, which is part of the curses
library.
