Hi, I'm looking for some software called "Family Tree" or anything like it. What it does is keep track of, ta-dah, your lineage given that you feed it data concerning your ancestry. Essentially, a family tree. Any info would be appreciated. Roger

comp.sources.unix has an archive named geneal that seems to be pretty reasonable. There are a number of programs available for PC-type machines, both commercial and the usual bulletin boards. I'd suggest using whatever system that is used among the people that you are likely to interact with. The LDS are working on a system that you may find worthwhile. I have a system that I have written that is intended to handle deep (>10 generations), cross-linked family trees, if you're interested. I'm also interested in swapping data with others regarding such families.
