(XENIX/386 System V >> compatible) [ Mr. Greer's recommendation for Elan was here ] We have used the DWB package from Textware International with great success. The package comes with troff, pic, eqn, grap, a troff to HP laserjet driver (ditplus), and a "Times Roman" like, a "Helvetica" like and Constant width style fonts. It also includes some macro packages. We have subsequently switched to Bitstream "soft fonts" from Soft Craft as we like the look of them a little better. But don't use any font cartridges.
