[comp.sources.wanted] Is there a PD curses library?

scott@clmqt.marquette.Mi.US (Scott Reynolds) (09/12/89)

I'm having some problems with the curses library supplied with my system
(IBM XENIX 2.0) that are driving me nuts. Is there a public domain source
available anywhere?

mourning the loss of the the mcf archives... :-(

Try SIMTEL-20.

The file PD1:<MSDOS.SCREEN>PCURSES.ARC contains the ncurses/terminfo
package by Pavel Curtis. It seems to be an old 1982 "beta-one" version.
There are some minor bugs, but in general it's a fine piece of code.
I used it as a start for an os/2 curses library.

The file PD1:<MSDOS.SCREEN>PCCURS13.ARC contains the pccurses package
for ms-dos by Bjorn Larsson. In the beginning is was a port of ncurses,
but large parts of the code have been rewritten and debugged. Serial
terminals are not supported.

Hope this helps
