[comp.sources.wanted] Summary: Nine Men's Morris.

greim@sbsvax.UUCP (Michael Greim) (09/21/89)

Some weeks ago I asked in comp.sources.wanted for
information about the game "Nine Men's Morris" or source code or
binary of a program to play this games.

I did get several responses (thanks to all), but unfortunately
no one could sent a program.

Bradford Needham (bradn@tekig3.len.tek.com) supplied me with a reference:

>	Board and Table Games from Many Civilizations

>He references:
>	Chess in Iceland

>Bell describes the book as "...full of information...disjointed and repetitive."
[...]

The book is not available in our library (or at least it's not listed in the
online catalog which lists about 380000 books, i.e. all books purchased
since 1976). In any case it seems not to provide algorithms for playing
the game.

Maybe I will ask for a program again in one of the rec.games.* groups.

	Thanks,
